APPROXIMATELY 35,000 CANADIANS EXPERIENCE HOMLESSNESS ON ANY GIVEN NIGHT, AND AT LEAST 235,000 CANADIANS ARE HOMELESS IN ANY GIVEN YEAR.

THE PROJECT
The Warm Belly Project is a 100% volunteer project aiming to bring awareness to the homeless and the hunger crisis in our communities. We believe everyone is equal and deserves the same opportunities and kindness that we give ourselves. The Warm Belly Project delivers to our communities most vulnerable people, We hear what they themselves tell us they need to survive and we by way of our community deliver those needs.

These number are based on the homeless we can visibly count, the number of hidden homeless ranges from 450.000 to 900.000. This is defined as the population that has no address or home of their own and stay with others or on the streets, never knowing when they will be out again or where they will go next.
There may be as many as 50,000 hidden homeless in Canada on any given night.
Those experiencing chronic homelessness range from 4,000 to 8,000.
Those experiencing a episode of homelessness is on average 6,000 to 22,000.
And those who are transitionally homeless range from 176,000 to 188,000.
